Why I use it
Its job in the stack
I use Hermes because useful AI work needs more than a chat window. Hermes can inspect a repository, work with files, search current sources, drive tools and preserve bounded context while keeping the work visible in one place.
Its importance is orchestration. A task can move from question to research to edited artifact to verified result without pretending that a model response is the finished job.
Where it earns its place
Work I use it for
- 01Tool orchestration
- 02Repository work
- 03Research with artifacts
- 04Repeatable skills and workflows
Limits
What it does not solve
Capability must remain bounded by explicit authority. Tool access does not make every possible action appropriate.
