Ultra Stack / Knowledge

Notion

Shared operating pages, lightweight databases and client-visible coordination.

Made by Notion

Why I use it

Its job in the stack

I use Notion when several people need a shared, editable view of a project without learning a specialist system. Pages and simple databases work well for briefs, directories, status views and collaborative documentation.

Its ease can also produce a maze. A workspace needs clear homes, owners and archive rules, and operational data that requires strict integrity may belong in a real database.

Where it earns its place

  • 03Project directories
  • 04Lightweight content databases

Limits

What it does not solve

Offline access, portability and complex data integrity are weaker than local files or purpose-built systems.
