Its job in the stack
I use Proton where reducing routine data exposure matters. Mail, calendar, storage and related services provide an alternative to advertising-funded platforms for sensitive personal and operational communication.
Privacy still depends on behavior. Recovery methods, device security, forwarding rules and the data copied into other systems can weaken the benefit of the provider.

Limits
