Why I use it
Its job in the stack
I use Revolut for spending across currencies: travel, foreign subscriptions and purchases where a Japanese card would add conversion fees. Spending shows up in the app immediately, which makes it easy to see where money went.
Virtual cards are also a practical security layer. A trial subscription or an unfamiliar merchant can get its own card that is frozen or removed afterwards, without exposing the main card number.

Limits
What it does not solve
Products and plans available in Japan differ from those in other markets. Check the current Japanese terms and limits before relying on a specific feature.
