Why I use it

Its job in the stack

I use Slack when a client or partner already runs its work there and joining removes coordination friction. It is useful for being present in the channels where decisions and requests are already arriving.

I do not choose Slack as the default for a new one-to-one relationship. Email and Signal are more efficient for direct communication, while durable work belongs in project records.
