Screaming Frog

Technical crawling and site-wide SEO inspection.

Made by Screaming Frog

Why I use it

Its job in the stack

I use Screaming Frog when a website needs to be examined as a system rather than a handful of pages. Crawls expose broken links, duplicate metadata, redirect chains, indexability mistakes and structural patterns that manual browsing misses.

The crawler finds evidence, not strategy. A technically perfect page can still be useless, and a reported issue only matters when it affects discovery, understanding or maintenance.

Where it earns its place

Work I use it for

  • 01Broken-link audits
  • 02Metadata coverage
  • 03Redirect inspection
  • 04Large-site inventory

Limits

What it does not solve

Crawl data requires interpretation, and JavaScript-heavy or authenticated systems may need additional setup.
