Why I use it
Its job in the stack
I use Stripe when a website or service needs a payment layer that can grow beyond a single payment button. Hosted Checkout handles straightforward sales, while APIs and webhooks support subscriptions, invoices and custom operational flows.
The attraction is not payment novelty. It is the ability to keep customer-facing payment steps connected to the records and follow-up work that must happen after money moves.

Limits
What it does not solve
Payment availability, fees and account requirements vary by market and business model. The current terms must be checked for each implementation.
