Why I use it

Its job in the stack

I use Substack when the writing and the subscriber relationship should live together with minimal publishing overhead. It gives each issue a public page while delivering it directly to readers who asked to receive it.

It remains a publishing channel, not a private inbox or project system. Editorial ownership, audience exports and a path away from the platform still matter.

Limits

What it does not solve

Design and product control are narrower than an owned site. Platform economics and audience portability should be reviewed as the publication grows.
