Why I use it
Its job in the stack
I use VibeProxy to make several AI coding subscriptions available through a local macOS routing layer. It reduces repeated authentication work and lets compatible tools reach the provider selected for a job.
A local proxy is infrastructure, not magic. Provider terms, credential storage, updates and the behavior of each connected client still need review.
Where it earns its place
Work I use it for
- 01Local model routing
- 02Provider authentication
- 03Coding-tool compatibility
- 04Connection status
Limits
What it does not solve
It adds a trusted local component between clients and providers. Updates and credential handling must be treated accordingly.
